Congratulations to UMKC Law School’s Myriam Paniagua. Paniagua, a third-year law student, was selected by the Hispanic National Bar Association/VIA Intellectual Property Law Institute to receive one of ten national scholarships to support costs of preparing for the patent bar.
The scholarship program includes participation in the Intellectual Property Learning Institute, a week-long program, based in Washington, D.C. Paniagua, a former chemist, is pursuing a career in patent law at UMKC to help companies and researchers protect their legal interests in their work through copyrights, trademarks, and patents.
