UMKC Law School's Associate Dean and Professor Mikah Thompson and Alumna Grace Colato Martinez, (J.D. 2018) have been selected for the 2022 Diversity & Inclusion Awards from Missouri Lawyers Media. The award will honor 18 attorneys, firms and legal professionals from around the state for significantly advancing diversity, inclusion and the dignity of all people diversity, equity, and inclusion. Professor Thompson is Associate Dean for Diversity, Equity & Inclusion at the UMKC School of Law and holds an appointment at the UMKC School of Medicine, where she has developed a cultural competency curriculum. UMKC Alumna Grace Martinez is an associate with Bryan Cave Leighton in Kansas City and co-founded the UMKC Law Alumni Association's Diverse Alumni Network.
