UMKC School of Law Students Place in National Tax Challenge

Congrats to Otto Bosch, Allison Martinez, Micha Moore and Chloe Webb!

Congratulations to UMKC School of Law students, Otto Bosch, Allison Martinez, Micah Moore and Chloe Webb.  These four students competed virtually in the 21st Annual Law School Tax Challenge, the American Bar Association’s national competition. All four qualified for the semi-finals/finals based on their outstanding written submissions.

Martinez and Webb competed in the oral rounds, qualified as a finalist team, and finished third place overall.  Bosch and Moore competed in the LL.M division as one of four finalist teams and won best written submission.

The competition presents students with a real-life complex tax planning problem from which they present a written analysis and oral presentation to a panel consisting of Tax Court judges, IRS officials and distinguished tax lawyers.

A big congratulations to our students and their coach, Professor Judith Frame, Teaching Professor of Law and Director of Masters of Taxation Program and to Tax Professors, Chris Hoyt, Del Wright, Dani Merrick and Lee Moore.
