As Professor Judy Frame, Director of Masters of Taxation Program and Tax Clinic, taught her last class on Monday, November 29th, grateful law school faculty, staff and students honored her with a standing ovation. Dean Barbara Glesner Fines recognized Professor Frame’s nearly 30 years of contributions to the School of Law by highlighting her highly regarded teaching skills and leadership in the tax program. As the dean shared student comments from evaluations, the theme was clear--Professor Frame has taught a very complex part of the curriculum many students often approached with anxiety, yet she consistently won over her students to tax law and taught them key skills for practice. Professor Frame is a past recipient of the Elmer F. Pierson Good Teaching Award.
The UMKC School of Law will miss Professor Frame’s leadership and wish her the best in her retirement.
