Mara Cohara Honored as a Top Woman Executive in Kansas City

Mara Cohara, UMKC School of Law alumna, (Class of 2001), was named to Ingram’s WeKC class of 2021.

Mara Cohara, UMKC School of Law alumna, (Class of 2001), was named to Ingram's WeKC class of 2021. The award recognizes women executives who demonstrate positive executive leadership and significant contributions to the Kansas City region.

Named a partner at Lathrop GPM in 2009, Mara is leader of the Environmental and Tort Practice Group and member of the firm's Executive Committee. She also maintains a successful legal practice focused on litigation involving toxic tort, nuisance, product liability, premises liability, breach of warranty and the defense of religious institutions.

Active in many civic and legal organizations, she serves as a board member with groups including Camp Fire, Greater Missouri Leadership Challenge Foundation, Lawyers Encouraging Academic Performance, and the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Foundation.
