The Kansas City Business Journal’s Best of the Bar acknowledges the work of accomplished lawyers in Kansas City and highlights local companies and clients the names of notable attorneys in select practice areas. This year, twelve UMKC School of Law alumni were included on the list.
A panel of judges selected by the Kansas City Business Journal selected 48 honorees based on such factors as professional reputation, involvement in significant cases or transactions, and civic involvement. 15 years ago the program was launched to highlight the accomplishments and skill of local attorneys and to provide a kind of specialized directory the Business Journal readers.

Scott Bethune, who serves as Vice President – Development & Capital on the UMKC Law Foundation Board, was honored to receive the recognition.
