Unsupported Browser

Solution 1: Disable the Compatibility View on Internet Explorer

Internet Explorer 8, 9, and 10 include a compatibility view, which makes your browser work like an older version of Internet Explorer. The UMKC Law School website is designed with newer technologies and doesn’t support Internet Explorer 7 or older.

Disabling compatibility view:
1. Open Internet Explorer.
2. Click Tools. - Pressing ALT+T will also bring up the "Tools" drop-down menu.
3. If Compatibility View is checked, click it to remove the checkmark.
4. Click Tools again.
5. Select Compatibility View Settings.
o Make sure "umkc.edu" is not listed under Websites you ve added to Compatibility View. (If umkc.edu is listed, remove it.)
o Make sure that the Display all websites in Compatibility View checkbox is unchecked.
6. Close and reopen Internet Explorer.

Solution 2: You are using Internet Explorer 7

Internet Explorer 7 is a browser version that is not supported by this website. Internet Explorer 7 was released in October of 2006, and the latest version of IE7 was released in October of 2007. It is no longer supported by Microsoft.

Continuing to run IE7 leaves you open to any and all security vulnerabilities discovered since that date. In March of 2011, Microsoft released version 9 of Internet Explorer that, in addition to providing greater security, is faster and more standards compliant than versions 6, 7, and 8 that came before it.

We suggest installing the latest version of Internet Explorer, or the latest version of these other popular browsers: Firefox, Google Chrome, Safari, Opera
