UMKC Law History
Founded in 1895 as the Kansas City School of Law by a group of young, local attorneys who understood the fundamental importance of access to the practice of law through legal knowledge and skills, UMKC School of Law is one of only six American law schools to have produced both a President of the United States and a Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court.
