Lydia Dagenais joined the UMKC Law admissions team in August 2013. Previously, she worked in admissions at the undergraduate level as the Associate Director of Admission at Haverford College as well as the Associate Dean of Admissions at Swarthmore College, both small liberal arts colleges outside of Philadelphia. Lydia received her B.A. in French and Sociology from Haverford College, during which time she studied abroad in Strasbourg, France. She went on to earn her M.S.Ed. in Higher Education from the University of Pennsylvania with a focus on access, diversity, and inclusion. Having grown up in Kansas City, Lydia is thrilled to be back in her hometown and working to bring the next generation of legal professionals to UMKC.
Lauren Butler joined the UMKC Law admissions team in November 2012. Lauren grew up in the Kansas City area and is excited to return to her hometown. She attended the University of Missouri and earned a Master’s in Education in Educational Leadership. Her focus was on students in higher and continuing education. Prior to that, she received her undergraduate degree in political science from the University of Kansas.
Lorie Paldino joined the Admissions Staff in August 2017. She received her BS in Finance and MA in Teaching and English from Boston College. Lorie taught at the high school and community college levels before moving to the KC area. Recently, she taught business communications and English at Johnson County Community College, presenting at both regional and national conferences. A perpetual student and lifelong learner, Lorie is working on her second master’s degree in Professional Writing.
She is excited to join the Admissions team to further their outstanding work of providing a consistently strong pool of applicants to the UMKC School of Law.
