With a 90.7% employment rate verified by the American Bar Association and 85.3% Missouri Bar pass rate, our graduates consistently leave law school with the skills necessary to succeed in the legal market. Our students are supported by a strong alumni network and our alumni achievements reflect the strength and reputation of the School. UMKC is one of only six law schools to have educated both a President of the United States and a U.S. Supreme Court justice. Nationwide, 144 judges are UMKC graduates; 96 of them in Kansas or Missouri. Alumni are counsel to major national corporations, leaders of large and small law firms, successful business people, and leaders in public service. Our alumni network supports our students by contributing to scholarship programs and offering their experience to promote student success.

The Professional and Career Development Center at the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law is dedicated to assisting students and alumni with their career search strategies. It is our mission to guide individuals through the process of moving from legal scholar to practicing attorney. Our office staff provides many years of first-hand legal experience and counseling to help custom-tailor a search including unique skills, personality and career goals.

With our successful bar preparation program, strong alumni network, and our effective career services efforts, you too can become one of these success stories.
