Small or medium firms are the largest employers of law graduates, both regionally and nationally. The solo and small firm practice provides early opportunities for responsibility, client contact and ownership, interests that appeal to students ready and eager to begin practicing law. Solo and small firm practice provides complete geographic flexibility and is especially appealing to students who want to practice in smaller cities, rural areas or who are interested in specialized fields of practice that are only offered in small firm settings.

We help students prepare for a career of entrepreneurial lawyering through knowledge and resources to get started. While in school, students have the opportunity to participate in the Solo and Small Firm Practice program  and upon graduation, recent graduates have the opportunity to work in the Solo and Small Firm Practice Incubator, which is a facility that provides office space, an office assistant and mentoring from experienced attorneys.
