Julia Pluta is the Faculty Services and Collection Development Librarian at the UMKC Law Library. Julia was previously the Head of Reference and Instructional Services Librarian at Texas Tech School of Law, and before that, the Emerging Technologies Librarian at Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law. Julia has taught a variety of courses in the past, including basic and advanced legal research, legal writing, business and transactional law research, and real estate transactions. She currently teaches Competitive Intelligence & Transactional Research and Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity, and the Law, and is the faculty advisor for TEDxUMKC and OutLaws. In her spare time, Julia is a huge nerd, enjoying reading, movies, and board and card games.
