Sarah Castle (’12)

Sarah Castle (’12) is being awarded the Kissick Construction Game Changer Award by Now Win for KC. She has created an organization called ‘Youth4KC’ where she mentors and engages young people with service opportunities that enable them to learn the value of making positive change. Their first project was to bring the National Association of Wheelchair Basketball Victory Tour to Kansas City.

Jasmine Fields (’16)

Jasmine Fields (’16) has joined the law firm of DeVaughn James Injury Lawyers Firm. Her practice area will be personal injury. Prior to joining the law firm, Jasmine was a victim advocate at the Kansas DUI Impact Center. 

Andre Tinoco, Jr. (’17)

Andre Tinoco, Jr. (’17) has joined the firm of Shook, Hardy and Bacon, L.L.P. Andre defends companies against product liability litigation, focusing on Engle-progeny smoking and health matters.

Brittany Perry (’17)

Brittany Perry (’17) has joined the firm of Brown and James, P.C.  She practices in the areas of business and commercial litigation, construction law, employment law, health care liability, insurance law and subrogation.

Nicholas S. Beydler (’13)

Nicholas S. Beydler (’13)  received the David J. Dixon Appellate Advocacy Award from the 2017 Missouri Bar Foundation and Public Service Awards.

Danielle Atchison (’14)

Danielle Atchison (’14) received the YLS Pro Bono Award from the 2017 Missouri Bar Foundation and Public Service Awards.

Tiffannie Kennedy (‘12)

Tiffannie Kennedy (‘12) has joined as an associate at Levinson and Stefani, a Chicago based law firm. She will be focusing on litigation and trial work.

Tara Moreland (’16)

Tara Moreland (’16) has joined the Jackson County Circuit court as Law Clerk for The Honorable Joel P. Fahnestock. Tara assists in the preparation of Division 9’s civil docket, as well as the preparation of the Division’s jury trials. Prior to joining Judge Fahnestock’s chambers, Moreland briefly practiced in civil litigation at a Kansas City firm.

Brian Mack (’12)

Brian Mack (’12) has been named a partner at Lathrop and Gage. Brian is a registered patent attorney who counsels clients in all aspects of intellectual property. He specializes in aerospace and mechanical arts, including combustion, gas turbine components, power plant applications and transportation equipment. He is a named inventor on 17 gas turbine-related patents, and prior to practicing law, he worked as a mechanical design engineer in the aerospace and power generation industries. 


Abby E. McClelland (’13)

Abby E. McClelland (’13) was appointed by Judge Kurt Engelhardt of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Louisiana to serve on the Plaintiff’s Steering Committee (PSC) of the Taxotere (Docetaxel) Products Liability Litigation. McClelland was chosen along with 13 others for a leadership role to oversee the complex management of the plaintiff’s litigation which includes breast cancer survivors from across the country.
