Visiting students
A student may visit at UMKC during is or her second or third year. Students planning to visit for their final semester(s) should ensure that all graduation requirements have been completed, as UMKC cannot guarantee availability of specific courses for visiting students. Visiting second-year students may apply to transfer to UMKC, but must follow the transfer student application process. Transfer admissions are not guaranteed for visiting students but applications are given serious consideration.
Application
Students interested in visiting at UMKC should complete the Visiting Student Application. The application must be signed by the student’s current dean to indicate good standing. Questions regarding the application can contact Tina Melville at 816-235-1688.
Course schedule
Schedules become available in mid-March for the fall semester and mid-October for the winter semester. Because some courses close during the enrollment process for current students, visiting students should not count on the availability of any particular course required for graduation. Questions regarding courses can be directed to Associate Dean Jeffrey Berman at 816-235-1640.
Financial aid
Visiting students will not receive scholarship assistance. If considering a transfer to UMKC, please visit our transfer student page.
