Preparing for law school
Professors Nancy Levit and Doug Linder share advice on how to set yourself up for a happy and productive beginning.
Two $250.00 non-refundable seat deposits will be required to ensure your seat in the School’s 2015 class, and this amount will be credited toward your tuition bill, the first of which will be due April 1, 2015 and the second due May 15, 2014. You will be able to pay your seat deposits online via our secure site starting January 1. More information to follow.
Financial Aid Loans
Applicants should apply for financial aid as soon as possible after January 1, 2015. You should apply online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. Our Title IV School Code is 002518. If you require a paper application, please contact Linda Lawrence at firstname.lastname@example.org. *If you are a summer start student, you will also need to file a FAFSA for the 2013-2014 year for summer loans. If you already filed with your undergraduate institution, make sure you have added UMKC as a recipient.
Please arrange to have official final transcripts of your undergraduate work with the date your degree was conferred sent to us directly from the undergraduate school from which you graduated. Please send all transcripts to: UMKC School of Law Admissions, 500 E. 52nd Street, Kansas City, Missouri 64110. Transcript copies supplied by CAS are not sufficient for this purpose. The Law School must receive the official transcripts showing your degree before Orientation.
