Ayyoub Ajmi (@ayyoovod) is a Digital Communications and Learning Initiatives Librarian at the University of Missouri Kansas City, School of Law. He is building and managing an integrated digital communications platform which provides access to the Law School library and its digital resources, supports law faculty’s effective use of technology to enhance student learning, and facilitates information and communication among various constituencies of the law school.
Paul Callister is the director of the Leon E. Bloch Law Library and professor of law. He joined UMKC in 2003 after serving as an assistant professor of library administration at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Professor Callister has emphasized improving the physical and electronic holdings at the law library, increasing instructional services, and renovating the library’s ground floor to provided cutting-edge technology and facilities for legal research instruction.
Prior to becoming a librarian, Professor Callister practiced law for nine years at the firm of Callister and Callister in Glendale, California, near Los Angeles. His practice areas included qualified retirement plans, estate planning, tax, business and professional organizations, and business transactions. He is a graduate of Brigham Young University (BA, philosophy major), Cornell Law School (JD, Business Law and Regulation concentration), and the Graduate School of Library and Information Sciences at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (MS). At Cornell, he served as Editor-in-Chief of the Cornell International Law Review.
Professor Callister’s research interests include the pedagogy of legal research instruction; copyright and licensing law; legal history as it relates to the history of the book and ancient forms of media; and the relationship of current information environments to legal institutions, jurisprudence, stability and the rule of law.
Professor Callister teaches Cyberlaw and Information Policy, and Advanced Legal Research: Transactional Law, Advanced Legal Research: Foreign, Comparative and International Law, Law Practice Technology, and copyright.

Joshua Pluta was previously the Head of Reference and Instructional Services Librarian at Texas Tech School of Law, and before that, the Emerging Technologies Librarian at Lincoln Memorial University Duncan School of Law. Josh is the Reference and Instructional Librarian in the UMKC Law Library, creating research content for 1L and upper-level courses. Josh has taught a variety of courses in the past, including basic and advanced legal research, legal writing, business and transactional law research, and real estate transactions. In his spare time, Josh is a huge nerd, enjoying reading, movies, and board and card games.
