KCMBA and UMKC Combine CLE Operations
The Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association and the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Law have announced a collaboration, combining their Continuing Legal Education operations and making the new entity the largest CLE provider in the area. The collaboration, KCMBA UMKC CLE, will operate from KCMBA’s headquarters at 2300 Main Street, Suite 100, in Kansas City and will incorporate the current staff of both entities. Daniel McCarroll, UMKC’s long-time Director of CLE, will serve as Director, and Vickie Schatz, KCMBA’s Executive Director, will manage the collaboration.
The decision to combine the two competitors was arrived at after careful consideration of the CLE needs of our legal community and the efficiencies that could be achieved by working together. The consolidation of the two operations will result in more innovative and higher quality continuing legal education products. “We are looking forward to enjoying great synergy as we bring these two well-established and recognized brands together to produce innovative, informative and convenient CLE to Kansas City’s legal community," said Vickie Schatz.
